This play is about the intersection of capitalism and eating disorders. It’s a character driven play that uses surrealist elements to try and answer how capitalism’s consumerist values can simultaneously promote a culture of restriction (starvation). The play examines the cyclical parallels between capitalism and eating disorders. The word Capitexic is a hybrid between CAPITalism and anorEXIC.
